A Close-up with Eileen Fisher  

Eileen Fisher has been on Oprah and CBS Sunday Morning and now she will join The Women’s Center.

The upcoming fall luncheon is an exciting opportunity to hear directly from Eileen Fisher as one of America’s most successful women’s clothier retailer but also to learn how she runs her $254 million company in a very non-traditional culture. For example, her company puts a high priority on employee well-being by encouraging everyone to arrive at 9:00 and leave by 5:00 and each employee receives a $2,000/per year education and wellness allowance which can be spent on massages, manicures, yoga classes or other leisure activities.  Two years ago her company set up an employee stock-ownership plan transferring nearly a third of the shares of the company into it.  Eileen Fisher is also very committed to the environment and helping other women by providing five yearly grants of $10,000 a piece for their start-up companies.
