Sandee Sgarlata is the author of "The Day After Tomorrow", the 1st book in the Julia Monroe Series (www.juliamonroe.net). As a certified Life Coach and former US National Figure Skating Coach, Sgarlata helps people in recovery and has mentored teens to help strengthen their life skills. In addition, she is actively pursuing the creation of a non-profit, Alliance 4 Peace Foundation, to coach young adults in learning to apply valuable life skills while contributing to the well-being of others.

 Friend...or 'Frienemy?'

Good friends provide support during difficult times, help celebrate good times and can even provide a shoulder to cry on. However, building and maintaining friendships can be challenging.  Most of us have had at least one situation where a friend has betrayed us, hurt our feelings or simply used us for their own personal gain. Sometimes, it's hard to tell when a friend is really a 'frienemy'. How can you bring friends into your life and dump the frienemies? More importantly, how can you BE a good friend? In this workshop, Sandee will discuss how to:-Distinguish between a friend and a frienemy;-Identify when you or your 'friend' has become a 'frienemey' and why this is so bad for you;-Implement the 5 steps for mending or ending the broken relationship; and-Be true to yourself and BE a good friend.
